Together, the Southall Partnership are working with the wider community to deliver the projects set out in the Southall Charter. In this section we will provide information on the various projects as they come forward.

Southall Together (behavioural change/promoting inclusivity, supported by the micro-fund)

  • Cleaner Southall – working for a better local environment
  • Safe Havens – feeling more secure, especially at night
  • Connecting Youth – a range of activities to provide young people with a greater range of activities
  • Multicultural events – bringing different parts of the community together

Southall Massive:Small (community led small scale actions, massive impact – supported by the micro-fund)

  • Pocket parks / outdoor gyms – activating our public spaces and parks
  • Front yards programme – neighbours getting together to improve their front gardens
  • Tree planting – making our streets greener
  • Tackling anti-social behaviour hotspots – making our streets safer

Southall Town (improving our town centre)

  • Branding Southall – developing a branding and marketing strategy for Southall
  • The Manor House – bringing this Southall gem back into sustainable use
  • Shopfronts improvements – working with businesses to improve the retail experience
  • Business Improvement District – exploring options for greater business say in the running of the town centre

Southall Living (improving our quality of life)

  • Homes for all – tackling outhouses and overcrowding, encouraging a wider choice of homes
  • Tackling substance abuse – working to address drug dealing and abuse
  • Starting, living and ageing well – from young to old, encouraging healthy, active lifestyles

Southall Transform (major, aspirational projects)

  • The Kings Centre (St John’s Old Church) – a community learning and entrepreneurial hub
  • Great Streets programme – from the Broadway, to the Green and King St – streets we can be proud of
  • Education quarter and business school – bringing a range of education choices to Southall
  • Southall Gateway – capitalising on the arrival of Crossrail to deliver a positive arrival experience into Southall
  • Dominion Centre - a new £3m library and renewed arts centre on The Green
